ABU DHABI, 20th June 2025 (WAM) — The 6th IMMAF Youth World Championships, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, will take place from 21st to 27th July 2025 at the ADNEC Centre Al Ain.
This marks the first time the event will be held in the Al Ain Region, and is expected to host over 1,000 athletes, both male and female, representing 60 different countries.
The championships are organised by the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) and hosted by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation for the fourth consecutive year, highlighting the strong partnership between the two organizations and the UAE’s leading role in hosting major international sporting competitions.
Abdulmunem Alsayed Mohammed Alhashmi, Chairman of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation, conveyed his sincere gratitude to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his continued support of Emirati sports. He also thanked H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his generous patronage of the championship.
Alhashmi emphasized that H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed’s patronage of this sixth edition serves as a strong motivation for the nation’s youth to pursue excellence, reinforcing the UAE’s status as a global center for the development of mixed martial arts.
Al Ain Region was chosen as the host city due to its comprehensive capabilities, making it an ideal location for world-class sporting events. These capabilities include advanced infrastructure, state-of-the-art sports facilities, and unique cultural and tourism attractions.
The selection of Al Ain Region also showcases its prominent standing on both regional and international sports and tourism maps. Furthermore, it provides athletes and participating delegations with an opportunity to immerse themselves in the community’s authentic culture and heritage, fostering cultural and sports exchange.
